Love that you got started on this in 2020. A time when many struggles with fitness discipline and consistency, you leaned into it. Great post!

Thanks, Kyle! It's been a really worthwhile journey for me. It's also helping me realize that there's other things I can achieve by applying a similar discipline and consistency.

Once you know the way, you start seeing it in all things! Nothing better than seeing the benefit of simple concepts across any/all life domains. Keep up the great work!

The basics never fail.

Having a pull up bar and doing 2-3 whenever you want by is a cheat code to increase reps

Precisely! Yesterday, after a week and a half of grease the groove (6 reps each time I passed the bar), I hit my PR of 36 chest to bar pull ups.

I've second guessed myself in the past as an educator, but with fitness training I've not had the dreaded imposter syndrome. Now that I’ve been coaching others, I feel in control of my material, as well as confident and joyful about what I’m doing.

I realize that I could have been a great art teacher after all; but I am thankful to have gone on an existential journey of sorts, in order to get where I am.
